Verstappen breaks 33-year-old Senna record with Mexican GP victory

Article To news overview © Red Bull Contentpool Max Verstappen's win in Mexico has seen the Dutchman eclipse a record set by Ayrton Senna during the 1988 season. Verstappen stormed to his ninth victory of the 2021 season at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, meaning he surpasses Senna for the most wins in a single F1 campaign for a Honda-powered driver. Senna originally set the record en route to the first of his three world titles back in 1988, at the beginning of the highly successful McLaren-Honda days.
