Alonso enters team for Dubai Kartdrome 24 Hours

You would think that immediately after the 2021 season finale Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that Fernando Alonso will be seeking a well-earned break but, no, he has entered a formidable team in this year's Kartdrome 24 Hour Race on 17-18 December. Thus there will be no rest for the double-Formula 1 World Champion who is back on the F1 grid this year with Alpine; the 40-year-old returning to the podium after a seven-year drought by finishing second at the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix. Next up on the calendar are Grands Prix in Saudi Arabia followed by the finale in Abu Dhabi on 12 December, bringing to an end a marathon 22-race F1 world championship season.
