You would think that immediately after the 2021 season finale Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that Fernando Alonso will be seeking a well-earned break but, no, he has entered a formidable team in this year's Kartdrome 24 Hour Race on 17-18 December. Thus there will be no rest for the double-Formula 1 World Champion who is back on the F1 grid this year with Alpine; the 40-year-old returning to the podium after a seven-year drought by finishing second at the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix.
