Former boss: VW wouldn't waste time on F1 talks if they weren't serious

Now CEO and Team Principal at Williams, Capito was part of the Volkswagen setup from 2012-2016, playing a key role in Sebastien Ogier winning four successive World Rally Championship titles. Porsche and Audi, both Volkswagen Group brands, have been heavily linked to F1 in recent times, with representatives attending talks over the future direction of the sport - specifically the next engine cycle.
