Red Bull finally at target weight? 'We start with new parts'

It looks like Red Bull Racing will respond in Barcelona to the improvements announced by Ferrari for the Spanish Grand Prix. According to Dr. Helmut Marko, the RB18 will finally reach its target weight with new components. With the new technical regulations in Formula 1, a maximum weight for the cars had been set at 795 kilograms. Only Alfa Romeo managed to build a car that did not exceed this weight. The FIA decided to increase the maximum allowed weight to 798. For Alfa Romeo team owner Frédéric Vasseur this came understandably as a shock. The fact that teams like Red Bull Racing and Mercedes then still didn't manage to meet the weight limit caused even more outrage. Read more...
