Daniel Ricciardo poised to join Mercedes after secret Singapore meeting

McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo is still keeping his options open for the 2023 season as he continues to try and find a place on the grid. The Australian signed with McLaren last year, but he has not found the form he was able to produce in his Red Bull and Renault days. He won the Italian Grand Prix last year, but has struggled to replicate that performance alongside Lando Norris. He and McLaren both pledged to see out the remainder of his contract earlier this year, but the situation has changed since then, and the 33-year-old will be leaving a year early.
