Honda committed to Red Bull until 2026 – Marko

May 25 Red Bull and Honda say they will continue to collaborate in Formula 1 even though they will definitely part ways at the end of 2025. After Honda decided to pull out of the sport at the end of 2021, Red Bull commenced plans for its own engine subsidiary – Red Bull Powertrains. 'We had to react,' Dr Helmut Marko told motorsport-magazin.com. 'And when Honda decided to continue last year, there was no common road left that would have been satisfying for both of us. We had already made the brave and expensive decision to build our own engine.'
