Results | Sainz, Perez and Hamilton form top three on day two in Bahrain

Carlos Sainz topped the timesheet on the second day of winter testing in Bahrain, after Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc did the same in the morning. Sainz was followed by Sergio Perez, who had problems in the shortened morning session. After this, Red Bull Racing decided to give him the extended afternoon session instead of Max Verstappen, who will be in action on Friday afternoon. Lewis Hamilton finished third in his Mercedes after being nowhere near the top times for a long time.
