George Russell will line up P3 with Lewis Hamilton P6 for Sunday's Italian Grand Prix. Warm temperatures and sunshine once again reigned at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. Both Lewis and George ran both the Medium and Soft compound in FP3, and topped the times in P1 and P2. That left both drivers with four sets of the red-walled compound for Qualifying. Both advanced through to Q3 using only two sets and therefore had two new sets to play with in the final 12-minute session. Having posted the third and fourth fastest times initially, both improved on their final efforts. George took P3, just 0.113s shy of pole position, with Lewis P6, just 0.073s further behind.
