Alpine ready to offer ‘guard of honour’ farewell to Ocon

© XPB  Michael Delaney 13/12/2024 at 16:1713/12/2024 at 17:01 Alpine team principal Oliver Oakes has opened the door for Esteban Ocon to return to the team’s Enstone factory for a proper farewell, following the Frenchman’s early exit from the team after the Qatar Grand Prix. Ocon was sidelined from Alpine’s season finale last weekend in Abu Dhabi, a decision that was reportedly part of quid pro quo solution instigated by the team’s executive advisor Flavio Briatore. The Italian was willing to allow Ocon to run with Haas, his new team, in F1’s post-season test at Yas Marina that took place earlier this week, but only if he agreed to relinquish his seat to rookie Jack...
