Well, the grand move is set for Friday this week, and I'll be glad when it's over. For one thing, it'll mean the return of internet access at home, and I'll have somewhere to park the car.
A long time ago, I promised you all the latest news from the world of cheese. Actually, I can't be bothered. This is because the true cheese expert in this world is none other than Wallace, the greatest fictional Englishman of recent times. I haven't seen the film yet but there are sure to be many cheese related references with which you can broaden your knowledge.
A shame then that the warehouse and studio where Wallace and Gromit had their Grand Day Out, wore the Wrong Trousers, and had A Close Shave, has burned to the ground with the loss of all the sets and models used for those films, along with almost the complete sets and props of Chicken Run. It's a national disaster of unprecedented proportions!! If you believe what you read in the papers, that is. Why are our priorities so twisted?? Enough said, I think.
Back to cheerier things! What do we do now that the season is over? Are there those who hibernate, and emerge, blinking, into March? Do some of you go through withdrawal? Cold sweats and the shakes, re reading old copies of Autosport to satisfy your cravings? Do you turn to A1GP and it's shiny promise of newness and national pride? What will fill this gaping chasm?
Probably beers, wines, cigarettes, fine (and not so fine) foods and having a damn good time will have to suffice ( nothing to strenuous, of course ). I may even decorate the house!
See you next time. I may even have something interesting to say.......
Cheers
