It's Remembrance day tomorrow, 11th November. I always take time to think about the enormity of what this day represents. Makes you feel more than a little insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but also great pride, and gratitude.
Last night on TV the BBC broadcast a programme in which the last 27 surviving British veterans of WW1 shared their memories and experiences of the war. It was an extremely moving and, in a way, quite uplifting piece of television. The courage of these men cannot ever be emphasised enough, nor can the debt we owe them and their comrades. Television like this should be compulsory viewing in all schools.
That's all I've got to say this time. Sorry if it's a bit downbeat, but it's important.
