God. I'm OLD.
I woke up this morning to my cards and thought... "32". Nine years ago, I would have been 23. Nine years have flown by.
I was trying to read my friends Cosmopolitan magazine on Monday and realised that I cannot relate to any of the stories or articles. I don't need advice on which eyeliner dries out more quickly, I don't need advice on how to create the perfect CV. I'm past my twenties and I feel it!
I guess what I'm trying to say is although 32 is relevantly young still, I think I'm growing up!!
Oh. Went to Maze yesterday (on Grosvenor Square near Park Lane in London) - A Ramsay restaurant. I recommend. The portions are tiny, but its the most delicious food you will have ever tasted in your life. I opted for crab mayonnaise with avocado sauce garnished with caviar, then I had supreme pork with lentils garnished with the most gorgeous rich sauce known to man. My boyfriend had two courses also, which in total with the most costliest bottle of Evian water (£4) came to £56.
Expensive. But the good thing was is that the Maitre D' was from Liverpool also. He showed us all around the kitchen. Unfortunately, Gordon was not there (to the relief of my boyfriend!!).
I definitely recommend the experience. It is something you will never forget and the food is out of this world. We'll be going again - but to the other part of the restaurant called Maze Grill. I want to taste Ramsay's burger
So, I now have a week off to catch up on sleep and spend some quality time with him indoors. I had a nice birthday present this morning though.
