Château Puma

Posted by Autumnpuma , 08 April 2008 · 42 views

Well, I've just bought a piece of land with a bit of wood and stucco on it. My castle. I've never been so busy in my life. Progress reports of my declining sanity to follow.

Congrats on the new abode, Mike. I see a depletion of the bank account in your near future. Is there remodelling in store? Keep us posted.

At Chez Gorilla we've just bought new windows, to restore it's Victorian splendour and get rid of the ghastly plastic things. When I saw the quote I nearly cried.

Thanks, Russ. Well, the house is in pretty good condition, but there are a lot of small things to be done. I plan on spreading those out to lessen the drain on the bank account.

I'm right between a lake, which is a block away, and a small range of hills that are quite nice to look at. My neighbors seem to be good folks as well. It's quiet at night. All in all, I'm rather pleased with the purchase. I suppose I must go buy a boat now; not a horrid thing that blasts through the water but a proper boat that I can push in the lake, putter out to the middle and just float.

I must confess that I'm most excited by the 2 car garage I've now got. I've always wanted a dedicated space for an art studio and have never gotten it. Now one half of the garage will become my studio. After the boxes are put away and sorted....which means my studio will be arranged and ready in 2035.

Congrats, Mike. Actually that sounds so good even for me, and I am a metropolicentric creature (pure air, which I can't see, makes me nervous)

Mike, that 2 car garage is reserved for a FIAT Spider, surely? I'm mighty jealous of the boat thing as well.

Yes, the FIAT will go just opposite my studio (and the search is still ongoing). The other cars that are merely transportation will have to brave the elements without shelter.

I imagine it's just nice to be away from Riverslide and all that entails, you can actually see blue sky now.

Damn straight, Bruce!!

Congratulations on your (recently) newly acquired empire. Are there any good sorts of fish in that lake?

Large and small mouth bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. I'll be going for the bass.
