Emmcee 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Mate I would have to say, that in a nutshell would fix the sport, well done.
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 I've always said if they widen the tyres and allow the front wings to be lower to the ground with a wider chassis to create more mechanical grip, they could do away with drs all together as it will allow cars to be driven harder and faster and slipstreaming would be alot easier to follow as you could get alot closer due to the wings being lower to the ground, it would create less turbulence. Emmcee 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Cars in 1997 where at the peak of mechanical grip IMO, return to that similar chassis with today's power plants.
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Just watch the lap from Schumi at Belgium 1997. Just look at the turn in speed on the onboard corners, it's phenomenal not to mention the sound. Could you imagine those running again? You can see just how much control Schumi needs compared to today's drivers. Awesome footage. Most beautiful Ferrari ever made IMO, looks and sounds fantastic. Emmcee 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2015 How good is the turn in speed and all the adjustments needed to keep the thing on the road? It just sticks, the tyres are unbeleivable. Just his confidence in that thing is incredible not to mention the sound.

Emmcee 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2015 If they could move back to that era of racing, that's formula one and 1997 was the last season it was truly that. 1998 saw a raft full of changes that has been contagious for every season since. They go on about how they haven't had a fatality since senna due to car safety, that's bs. Cars wouldn't be much safer nowadays it's the circuits that have improved the most. Senna's accident was just a freak accident, that same incident could happen now and have the same affect. Almost did with felipe.
