It looks like the F2004 meets a 1990s car (slicks, low front wing).
Marc Gene just did some more testing in the new A1GP car.  Here's what he had to say:

Quote: "It's an interesting car and I had a lot of fun. It's not an F1 car but it's not intended to be one; it will produce exciting racing, allows overtaking, and is an extreme drive."

However, the majority of the testing has been undertaken by Andrea Bertolini, while Patrick Friesacher has also been behind the wheel. Feedback has been good with them finding the car well balanced, the tyres have been working well and the gearshift and electronics have been reliable; all in all they have found it an extremely driveable car.

A1GP General Manager, Technical and Operations, John Wickham: "The car has now completed about 3,500 km testing, equivalent to about half a season's mileage, and is looking reliable. We have spent the majority of time working on the engine and control systems but there's also been work on the tyres and chassis so there has been no down time. There have been a number of small issues, which is to be expected from a completely new package, but there is nothing we can't resolve in the coming tests so we are happy with how things are progressing."   Source: PitPass

Can't belive I'm saying this I'd like some nice sidepods and viking horns and a BMW engine cover cause it just looks to squiky clean but not so nice.

When I heard team Ireland & Adam Carroll were gonna have a Ferrari engine I thought I should watch it again! Heard he grabbed a few feature podiums! As for the car, Schumi would be impressed with the slicks on his most successful WDC winning car!

That is sexy - right colours too (hehe).  Today though the c#ckpit sides would need to be higher, and an exhaust chimney on the side pod would be needed for heat dissapation with todays engines, but that wouldn't look too out of place.  And noses have headed back down like on the Williams above these days, so no need to change the front end.  Actually a bridge wouldn't be amiss.

I think if you mixed a little of today, say 10%, and the rest was this car, then you'd have a pretty striking and fast vrrm vrrm :)

Surely cars would be painted in national colours anyway.

I don't see why A1 does not use the old color scheme, Italy Red, Germany white/silver, England Green, France Blue and so on

if they really want to be the world cup of motor racing maybe they should study motor racing history

You have a point, but many of the colours are very similar...for instance NZ is BRG with silver stripes, and England is BRG with white stripes, Aussie a slightly richer green with gold/yellow stripes - the Dutch would stand out in orange though!!

National flag colours, which is pretty much what 90% of the cars are done up in seems to work in this modern 256-colour pallette :)

Well for the first season it was the Indian flag colors, like Orange, White and Green, maybe a dash of blue for the chakra but i would expect them to keep that...

I guess now that you mention it, i guess Blue is unoffically our color....

Me is thinking any member (new member) should have to wait 10 posts before they can post links or attach files.
