I still think the cars look ugly.

I guess that thought may change when it comes to see then racing though.

Paprika? Out of all the spices and herbs to choose from, you choose the one that tastes like dirt and sounds like a 15-year-old girl with pink pigtails wearing a Hello Kitty T-shirt. What about Marjoram? Now there's an oft neglected herb that's downright exciting and masculine. I suppose if you really wanted to go masculine, you'd choose Cumin, but if you're a little light-in-the-loafers you could go with Fennel. Fennel is the guy you work with that has way too many scented candles in his flat.

Hey! I love a a yummy goulash with paprika. There's something about those little penises made of pasta...

Oh, yeah, and welcome to the forums, Paprika!

Perhaps it looks good, but there's no way to know if it's a good or a bad wing until March. Also, it may be a perfect wing in all the CFD models, but if the driver can't get it to work with his style, it's a bad wing. Everyone is worshiping at the altar of the computer these days and forgetting that the driver is where the action begins and ends. Design for the driver, not the computer....but I digress.

They should go back to blue and yellow, or even green as per the Benetton days.

Yeah, the Mild Seven blue with the Renault yellow really looked a treat. ING's 3 year contract expires this year so maybe a new title sponsor and colour scheme will be in place for season 2010, then again ING might just continue with Renault for a couple more years to come ;)

To be honest, I'd be surprised if any team runs a widely different colour scheme this year.

Honda, perhaps the most likely to.

That I would agree with. No major sponsorship deals are coming into effect this year.

New Renault fails FIA crash test
09 January 2009

Renault's 2009 contender, the R29 has failed a mandatory crash test. According to the team the problem has been identified and solved so the team sees no problem running the car at the Algarve test.

"We have identified the problem and solved it," a Renault team spokesperson told Reuters. "We will be able to run the car as planned in Portugal."

The Renault F1 team will present its new car at the brand-new Portimao circuit on January 19th followed by its maiden run.

How ironic from a manufacturer who's range of cars gets 5 stars on the NCAP safetly rating!

It does seem strange that a top team could fail such a basic thing, although it shouldn’t be detrimental in the long run.

Renault have failed a pre-season crash test before, in 2005, we know what they ended up doing that year.

Ferrari got bored of winning?? Oh yes, Alonso became (then) the youngest F1 champion, in a Renault!

So, any ideas about what car will be the ugliest?
That's just about all the pre-season contest they 'll get!
I believe the silver Mclaren will look pretty ugly!
