Some ways to be sure you could preach so as to convert nobody: "Let your supreme motive be to secure your own popularity and success. If you preach that way you're not going to say anything to offend and if you don't offend you can't convert anybody. Aim at pleasing for money and sexual favors, rather than correcting for holiness. Let your sermons be literary, flowery, ornate, flowing beautifully so your hearers never remember the lack of content. Be sparing of thought lest your sermon contain enough truth to convert someone. Avoid preaching doctrines that are offensive to the carnal mind. Deal with sin in the abstract and make no allusion to the sins of your audience. Preach salvation by grace but ignore the condemned and lost condition of the sinner, lest he should understand what you mean by grace and sense his need of it. Make no appeal to the fears of sinners, but make the impression that they have no reason to fear, God loves them. Preach the love of God and ignore the holiness of His love. Do not rebuke the worldly tendencies of the church, lest you should hurt their feelings and convert some of them. Select your themes and so present them as to attract and flatter the wealthy, aristocratic, self-indulgent, extravagant, pleasure-seeking classes and you won't convert any of them to the cross-bearing religion of Christ. Ridicule solemn earnestness in pulling sinners out of the fire and recommend by precept or example that jovial, fun-loving religion and sinners will have little respect for serious preaching. Cultivate fastidious tastes in your people by avoiding all disagreeable allusions to the last judgment and final retribution. Treat old and uncomfortable doctrines as obsolete and out of place. And so exhibit religion as to encourage the selfish pursuit of it. Make the impression upon sinners that their own safety and happiness is the supreme motive of being religious. And see to it that you say nothing to any of your hearers to demean him or her, but only what is flattering."

Another thing to note is how small the sidepod air intakes are. They would have to be the smallest ever.

Looking at the car some more you notice that the rear wing end plates are cut and flicked almost like pre reg change wing end plates. The front wing end plates are very simple, this is one part of the car that I expect alot of development to take place over the winter.

“We keep on working, we do our thing,” Vettel shouts over the team radio, “We are who we are!”
"Vettel is a champion. That’s not referring to his achievements, but rather to his approach to everything he does. He wins. All the time. His preparation is meticulous, his attention to detail reminiscent of Michael Schumacher at his peak, and his performance on the track is almost always flawless. Vettel is capable only of domination. He knows no other way... Vettel is not in Formula One to be liked. He is there to win. And in the words of Ayrton Senna, perhaps the greatest of all Formula One drivers, “Nice men don’t win.”"

Let's wait for the first race, if Ferrari wins let's forget about this, if not, we'll procede to the run on track naked strike.

Kimi Raikkonen: It is the same thing that I said before. I have no interest in driving for a bad team next year. If I race here, I always try to finish as high as I can. I don't need anything to motivate me. If I drive, I drive to do my best and that is it.
jemstride:
"I get the feeling that Alonso fans tend to heap over-praise on Alonso and bring down Kimi whenever they can, with mere theories and unjustified statements."
I just always end up disagreeing with you guys because of all the huge exaggerations, myths, theories & unjustified statements
Lewis Hamilton:
I never go with expectations, I go with a target. That is to be at the front, and the ultimate aim to win, which is the mentality I have always gone racing with.
You've got to be on the limit all the time - and I love that, because that's how I love to race.

The 09 spec cars don't look the best granted but, if the racing is better as a result i'll take the ugly cars every day of the week.
Now the MP4-24 is a good looking ugly car, agree Brad??? (I know you will say the F60 is better looking

Besides being tailor-made to meet the unique technical demands of grand prix racing, the innovative coatings are also believed to constitute a lighter chrome finish, thereby delivering improvements in lap time and performance as weight ballast becomes ever more critical in 2009.
We are delighted to welcome a renowned company such as AkzoNobel into our world-class partner portfolio, said Ron Dennis, Chairman and CEO of McLaren Group. We know that Formula 1 as a sport has a high visual impact and attracts million of viewers around the globe. Since 2006, the unique chrome finish has become our distinctive racing livery, providing us with 14 grand prix victories. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with them.
Added AkzoNobel CEO Hans Wijers: Our coatings expertise is geared towards providing our partners with custom-made technical or performance solutions. This business partnership between two world-class performers is a perfect example of our commitment to continued innovation and Im convinced that together we will prove to be a winning team.
Stringent technical requirements needed to be met before the partnership could be approved, but AkzoNobel shone through. A winning combination of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) compliant systems and specialty products helps to optimise the performance, while at the same time producing the striking, all-important chrome finish of the MP4-24.
As well as producing a highly distinctive high chrome finish, the new Sikkens system has also halved the time required to cure the new bodywork parts, vitally speeding up the paint application process.
Pushing technological boundaries is a key part of our product development and were delighted to have provided Vodafone McLaren Mercedes with a superior system which matches their need for performance, speed and precision commented Jim Rees, General Manager of AkzoNobel Car Refinishes.
Martin Whitmarsh, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes CEO Formula 1 said: Working with AkzoNobel we have developed the technical ability to apply specialist coatings to composite materials and various substrates, tackling lighter and more environmentally friendly products. We have already achieved some significant results in this field by reducing the average curing time of bodywork parts to more than a half and lowering the paintshops carbon footprint by up to 80 per cent. We will continue working with AkzoNobel Car Refinishes on further innovations as we investigate coating possibilities for both the cars we use now and the ones we plan to use in the future.
The youngest ever champion in Formula 1 history, Lewis Hamilton will begin the defence of his title in the new Sikkens-coated Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-24 in Australia on March 29.
