Thought it might be a good idea to create a thread with the dates we know for who's releasing their cars when. A lot of dates yet to be confirmed, but here's what I've found:

Ferrari-28th January
McLaren-29th January
Renault-31st January
Sauber-31st January
Toro Rosso-1st February
Mercedes-1st February (Livery launch 25th Jan on '09 car)
Williams-1st February
Virgin-3rd February
Force India-9th February
Red Bull-10th February
Lotus-12th February
USF1-?
Campos-17th February

Maybe, I'm not sure, although I think it falls in-line with the first test at Jerez from the 1st to the 3rd.

STR plans to roll out new car at first test
Toro Rosso is set to roll out its new STR5 car - the first to be fully designed and built by the Faenza-based squad - in time for the start of pre-season testing in Valencia on February 1.
Having used chassis designs supplied by Red Bull Technology since being bought by the energy drinks firm at the end of 2005, STR has had to become a bona fide constructor team for this year, meaning it has spent recent months building up its infrastructural strength to cope with the increased workload.
Whereas the senior Red Bull outfit and the grid's four new teams won't start testing until later in the month, STR has confirmed it will attend the opening test in Spain where it is planning to give its Ferrari-powered 2010 car its track debut.
"Toro Rosso will start the winter testing in Valencia on 1st February and we are planning to do it with the STR5," a spokeswoman told itv.com/f1.
The spokeswoman added that there remained no news regarding the identity of the team's second driver for 2010, with Swiss youngster Sebastien Buemi so far its only confirmed driver for the new season.
Spanish teenager Jaime Alguersuari, who competed in the final eight grands prix of last year after STR dropped Sebastien Bourdais, had been expected to be retained for a second campaign, but speculation in recent weeks has suggested the team may be assessing alternative options.

Talking livery's now, how about the new Santander inspired Ferrari livery?? Prodominate white front and rear wings, almost looking like the Marlboro livery of 2006 and earlier.

Also Lucas di Grassi has revealed that Virgin GP livery will be mainly black. Especially looking forward to this as the last black F1 livery was the Honda RA107 test livery and that looked stunning.

Would it be wishful thinking for McLaren to run the "McLaren Orange" test livery again this year in all pre season testing, then release the full livery before Bahrain. Maybe that will take some attention away from the silver arrows of MGP  :eusa_think:

My guesses at this year's liveries:

Ferrari-Pretty much the same with a few flashes of white for Santander logos.
McLaren-Exactly the same, maybe a little less silver now but nothing huge.
Mercedes-Body all silver, front wing, rear wing having turquoise for Petronas?
Red Bull-Exactly the same
Williams-Pretty much the same, maybe a slight differance to the ammount of dark blue to light blue and white.
Toro Rosso-Same as before
Force India-Pretty much the same, same colours, perhaps in a different design though.
Sauber-I predict a mainly white body with a bit of blue there.
Renault-Depends who the main sponsor turns out to be. I doubt the flying fruit salad scheme will be back for another year though.
Virgin-Black body with white decals, red Virgin logos predominant on sidepods.
Lotus-Greeny-gold. Front wing and rear rings red.
US F1-Dark blue body, white sidepods for YouTube logos and red wings too
Campos-Yellow with orange flashes, similar to Spanish flag design.

I've seen Ferrari's latest, with the white (and highly visible) Santander front and back wings, looks very smart.

So tomorrow is Mercedes' livery launch, interested to see what it will look like. We've seen a couple of mock-ups already and they look quite bland. Hope it's not the case for the real thing.

Are we sure it's only a livery launch? I got the impression elsewhere it wasn't, and on their youtube channel they have a teaser with a car under a blanket that looks a bit different from their 09 car.

Nice work JHS    is that a guess at what it may look like or is that direct from a reliable source like Schuberth?? I guess we will find out soon enough anyway. It's 11am in Germany now. Anyone have an idea when the livery will be released to the media??

Hey Sato, no just a launching the livery today on last years Brawn, however the new car will be ready to roll in the hands of Nico come 1st of Feb.

The Mercedes Grand Prix website isn't operational as yet, how ever I believe the launch will be sometime in the morning. First pictures should start filtering though anytime now.

Mercedes have gone for the brushed aluminum, light silver reminiscent of the original silver arrows of the 1950's. Nice touch.

Not quite sure about the black splash on the engine cover though :eusa_think:
