Quote

The Renault Formula 1 team launched its 2010 car at the Valencia circuit on Sunday afternoon and confirmed Vitaly Petrov as its second driver.

The new R30 was unveiled by Russian Petrov and team-mate Robert Kubica, who will form the all-new driver line-up of the French squad this year.

Twenty-five year-old Petrov, last year's runner-up in the GP2 series, becomes the first Formula 1 driver in the history of the sport.

Petrov will be partnering Pole Kubica at Renault, who is hoping to turn around its fortunes following a dismal 2009 season in which the team scored just 26 points on its way to eighth place in the championship.

The R30 was presented with Renault's new colours - yellow and black - following the exit of ING as main sponsor in the middle of last season.

It also incorporates a similar shark fin engine cover, as those seen in the new McLaren and Sauber cars.

The new colour scheme resembles that used by Renault when it first entered Formula 1 back in 1978.

Yeah, pretty!

The front wing is probably a fake and I doubt we'll see it in Bahrain. I like the car and I like Kubica leading the team. I hope they do well.

La régie confirms the crime pays: only one sponsor after the unforgetable 2009 and confirms nothing with 4 wheels can be more horrible than the R29!
Nice car but pretty conservative aero work. Hope it works.
And Andrés: it is not beutiful. It only seems and F1 intead of the truck looking R29...

I agree about the aero. Of course, knowing Sh#t about aerodynamics, is not as if my opinion is worth much, anyways. And she IS beautiful! All Renaults are. This one even more because of the livery. :D

As I mentioned in another thread, its funny that now when Renault are not the majority stakeholder that we see a fully fledged Renault livery.

We seemed to have gone from a friut salad, to a bumble bee!!!

Seems to be some conjecture over the new car and if it is in fact the new car, some people have it that two sets of pictures are doing the rounds and others have it the new car is much the same as the 2009 R29!!! I guess that we will have some answers as soon as the R30 hits the track tomorrow.

Wow o.O

Totally digging the look of the Renault and Kubica looks sweet in this new duds. Almost removes the puke that was the Renault color scheme for the past 2 years... yuck.

Not too bothered by the red colorings from 'Total'. Does look good with them being black, but even staying as red, this car is one of the most catching in the paddock. Shame about the Sauber. Their car was one of the sexiest in the earlier 00's with the green/blue and red bull logos on them.
"Obviously I am pleased to have many fans. Who would not want? But to be honest, I have no idea why people like me."

"There is always a lot of talk about the motivation but nobody really knows what I do or what I think except for myself, so I don't really care about what people say."

"There's always talk about my motivation, written by people who don't know me and couldn't have an idea on how strong my motivation is. If I didn't feel I had the motivation, I would stop. My feeling is that I probably drove some of my best races in my last season in Formula One and I was very happy with my performance. I've never had any issues with motivation."

Very nice color scheme. If it were just yellow & black, as JHS suggested, it'd be even better. Nice overalls too. Dunno about the car's speed, but lookswise, it's definitely among the top. (Yeah, it's easier to appreciate Reno, now that Flabio (or, as Graham says, Flabia) & Assonso are out.)

Woah!! I thought it was a joke at first, but I suppose I could warm to the new colours...as long as the car's fast! It would be kind of nice to see Renault and Kubica beat the maccas and the mercas and the ponys this year...

Anything is better than last year's woeful attempt.

Fresh start, fresh livery. Great driver line-up as well, although i'd have had Heidfeld..

Hope they get another major sponsor, looking a touch bare.

Think someone else said it but it looks aerodynamically basic, and i'm not sure they've made it a radical enough design to challenge the top competition.

i'm expecting 5th/6th with this car.
