Hyundai have already developed an LMP-like car in the form of Rhys Millen's Pikes Peak car & Toyota are already supplying engines to Rebellion! Would be great to see Toyota return to Le Mans after their unlucky run in 98 & 99!

Yes, like Oreca apparently being involved with the Nissan coupe, I could imagine Rebellion becoming the works Toyota team in future.

So, today is race day. Race begins at 3pm French time. Here are the results from warm-up.

HUGE CRASH! Allan McNish car tangles with Luxury Racing 458, tyre ends up in the marshal area. Don't think anyone was hit but McNish still in the car...safety car of course.

So lucky the car didn't go over there; barrier will no doubt be a little higher next year...

Indeed, very fortunate that amazingly nobody was hurt.

And we're back to green after a lengthy SC period.

#1 Audi crashes out in another big incident.

Rockenfeller managed to get out the car on his own, no information on the state of his potential injuries. Turning out to be a nightmare of a race for Audi.

Rob Kauffman in the Ferrari moved over on Rockenfeller accidentally as he was trying to lap him. Got turned, slammed in to the barrier at 200mph and exploded.

Hopefully that is it for accidents this year, for fear they'll overshadow this brilliant race.
