You can't have it all ways! You can't say that if someone yields then there is enough room, but then assume that anyone BUT yourself yields,  that is.

This isn't the boring years anymore where you put in on pole and scamper off into the distance for the win. These days you may have to do a little "racing" to win.
How can anyone expect to learn from their mistakes, if they don't admit to making any? I think he's reached his ceiling now. He's quick, but wheel to wheel,  Vettel and Hammy have shown the way.

FYI, I'm no Alonso - hater. I'm just a moaner-hater. Now shut up and drive!

Although I love the used of the world "valid" there, I won't. :P

Go back, watch the whole season again, re read whatever even the most ignorants of pundits posted so far. Your replies are all there. It's easy, once you take off the anti Alonso glasses. You might find the world makes a lot  more sense as well! The good, thing is you can even use logic there!

I think I've slagged off every driver on the grid bar 2 . Kimi cos if he don't care - why should I. and Vettel cos when the pressure is on, the kid responds well. It's because I'm no blind fan-boy that I can change opinion as often as I change my socks. 2 days ago I thought it was in the bag for the spaniard, now I think the german kid has it again.
If you don't welcome opinions, go read a Chinese news site. You don't have to agree other's opinions, but you should welcome them, if for no other reason than to test your own.
Personally, I like a driver to be like James Bond, not Billy Bland! (and on this grid, you can see why I'm frustrated)
Now if you don't mind, I have to take a big dump while you compose your response Posted Image

Ah, I was thinking about leaving the thread for good, but I think I owe this to Seb: his win could have been boring as hell, but his arrogance/defiance in keeping making fastest laps while his team was freaking out was a great touch for the spectators, and I am thankful for that!

But yeah, he still looks like Tyrion.

Not my cup of tea either Andres, I didn't even get as far as you!

I love Alonso's Twitter feed. He posted this after retiring from the Japanese GP (and that's retiring, not "spinning out" or being "taken out" which are both pretty misleading): "If the enemy thinks in the mountains, attack by sea, if they think in the sea, attack by the mountains." It's a quote from Miyamoto Musashi, a Japanese swordsman, strategist and some would say philosopher, who lived the life of a warrior in 17th century Japan. Anyway, it's cool because I was reading about this guy just a few weeks ago, and, well, it's just cool that Alonso knows about him and quoted him on Twitter. It just is.

Annnnd for a not so good use of Twitter, Lewis Hamilton responded to a made up story about Button unfollowing him which sprang up last week: "Just noticed @jensonbutton unfollowed, thats a shame...I thought we respected one another but clearly he doesn't." When Hamilton realised Button had never followed him he revoked his statement.
He added: "My bad [mistake] just found out Jenson never followed me. Don't blame him!". Clearly, unfollowing him would be disrespectful but never bothering to follow him is completely fine :P

This was racing incident, but the fact is that Kimi punctured Alonso's tyre ''from behind'',after Alonso went in front of him,.
Alonso didn't run over Kimi's front wing.
Even german magazine 'AMuS 'reported, (they don't like Alonso at all),  that judges at track found it was Kimi's fault, but because he didn't do it on purpose there was no reason for any punishment.
They said that they don't know what Kimi wanted to do with that move!

George my friend, I still don't understand how I can agree with most of what you post when our tastes differ in all forms of entertainment. The 'Song of Ice and Fire' is my latest obsession, and that considering that I read the first book 3 years ago makes it also one of the longest. Just saying.

Hey, not all forms of entertainment.. I like F1 you know :P But I haven't read the books! But then again, I probably never would even attempt to read them  It was just the series that didn't hook me into it, I am more of a Deadwood, Dexter, Sopranos sort of person when it comes to American TV!

 Quite the opposite, in fact.

I am reading the books right now. I am halfway through the second book. The funny thing is that probably the books have ten times more gore and sex than the series, yet somehow they are enough interwoven with the story of a brutal, morally ambiguous era to maek some sense.

The series? Just soft porn. If I wanted to watch that I would rather go for a porn channel. I watched 2 or 3 episodes, it's just a lot of tits for underage kids. Or would have been if we lived in the pre internet days, when all we had when we were hormone filled teenagers was some nude magazines and whatever tits we could glimpse in some "serious" flick.

Nowhadays, even my youngest nephew can get all kinds of sex on the internet for free without much bother. Why sit for a full hour to watch a pair of breasts? I'd rather watch Big Bang Theory, Dexter or old re runs of Monk series :D

Posted Image Quite the opposite, in fact.

I'd rather watch Big Bang Theory, Dexter or old re runs of Monk series Posted Image

Faith in humanity restored. I thought I was a VERY weird person when I told my friends "You watch the series because of the sex and gore? C'mon there's tons more in the books!" They looked strangely at me. Snif.

Alehop...come on man, THAT was after Alonso already pushed him onto the grass!!. Don't be blind like almost every other Alonso fan, I expect better from you

Surely Kimi's car needed an extra inch to be able to stay on the tarmac, right?

Fray Luis de León said:

As we were saying yesterday...
Fray Luis de León wrote mystical poems which prompted Cervantes to proclaim León "a genius who astounds the world and who, in ecstasy, might rob us of our senses." León was also an active man who taught at the University of Salamanca, translated classical and biblical literature, and wrote on religious themes. Twice denounced before the Inquisition, he was imprisoned for "heresy," though he returned to the University to later hold the chairs of Moral Philosophy and Biblical Studies.

Tradition has it that he began his lecture the first day after returning from four years' imprisonment with the words "as we were saying yesterday..."
