I put it in iPhoto, played with saturation and contrast and got this:

The a##-end of the car looks kind of interesting.

We keep on working, we do our thing, Vettel shouts over the team radio,We are who we are!

"Vettel is a champion. That’s not referring to his achievements, but rather to his approach to everything he does. He wins. All the time. His preparation is meticulous, his attention to detail reminiscent of Michael Schumacher at his peak, and his performance on the track is almost always flawless. Vettel is capable only of domination. He knows no other way... Vettel is not in Formula One to be liked. He is there to win. And in the words of Ayrton Senna, perhaps the greatest of all Formula One drivers, “Nice men don’t win.”"
Chris Cameron-Dow

They are having one very good race followed by one very poor race. Consistently.

You sure that's not just a W02 and they are having a laugh? Mind you, guess you could say that about most the cars we've seen so far...

Honestly, other than the Lotus E21, all the other cars had clear, visible differences...the best cars will always be evolutions of the last year's, and the worst cars will always be from teams who don't have the budget to radically redesign.  Not sure what there is to complain about when it's all a sign that F1's only a little over a month away. :)

Thanks to the season being so long these days, it only feels like it was yesterday when the 2012 season ended...guess that's a sign of getting old. ;)

I guess you're right but I don't need a sign to know I'm getting old, I feel it in body everyday.

Kimi Raikkonen: It is the same thing that I said before. I have no interest in driving for a bad team next year. If I race here, I always try to finish as high as I can. I don't need anything to motivate me. If I drive, I drive to do my best and that is it.
jemstride:
"I get the feeling that Alonso fans tend to heap over-praise on Alonso and bring down Kimi whenever they can, with mere theories and unjustified statements."
I just always end up disagreeing with you guys because of all the huge exaggerations, myths, theories & unjustified statements

Lewis Hamilton:
I never go with expectations, I go with a target. That is to be at the front, and the ultimate aim to win, which is the mentality I have always gone racing with.
You've got to be on the limit all the time - and I love that, because that's how I love to race.

A pre launch has been made with some pics of the car being driven by Nico. Looks...nice. It might be just a perception from what I read, combined with my utter ignorance in these matters but it seems to me that the car that cause less of an impression among the top ones is the Ferrari, the ones that caused the most commontion being the Sauber and the Macca, closely followed by the RBR. Lotus received lukewarm comments, barely above those on Ferrari.
Things look dim for my team and my driver :(

But I disgress. The Merc looks nice and has a new very noticeable sponsor. Is it because it's Black? ;)

Ok, if this is any sign of Lewis "mechanical feedback" then Merc should be glad they have Nico and they should never, ever let him go.

"It was not too bad, it just felt like driving a different car," Hamilton told Sky Sports News.
"I am not sure what else to say, there is a lot going on, a lot of new controls I am getting used to and so much information coming in and just trying to get on top of it.
"The steering settings that I had before are very different on this car and there are a lot more buttons as well. So utilising those and understanding the set up changes that they make - the dif settings.
"All the calls are different - they use different terminology on top of that and the car brake bias has six settings instead of the three I used to have so there is a lot of different stuff going on.
"I've driven the simulator a few times, but this was the first time I got to get a feel for it and also the tyres weren't the right tyres."

:lolroll:

"It was not too bad"? Bet Lauda must be mistyfied after hearing that.

"There are a lot  more buttons"! Kills me every time.

"Hey! We used to have just one Button at McLaren and he was used for...actually I have no idea why we used him for. He even had to copy my setups so you can imagine..."

I know, I know...I'm bad and I am going  to go to hell for this but...oh my George!!!

We are doomed. This will be a walk in the park for Vettel+RBR

Mercedes have brought a major change that no one else has so far - has no one noticed that Rosberg has changed his hair color to a darker shade ? It makes all the difference.

Is it just me, or did someone forget to draw the nose on the blueprints?  Awfully stubby...

Other than that, I don't see much of a change from yesteryear.

I fell about as excited as if I was handed a water soaked ham sandwich for lunch...

Von Braun has stated that they're using the "vanity panel" , I guess that , added on to Mercs super-slim duck nose from last year, has a super-stubby look.

Ok, so his relationship with Sutil has turned sour, and now with challenging his other friend in Rosberg in equal cars might get sparks flying is it any wonder Hamilton has turned to this???

Some detail of the front wing.  Looks different:

Endplates are pretty elaborate, too:

I was surprised to see BlackBerry still in existence, but good for them.  As someone who still has a flip phone, I guess I can relate to those who still use those.  Plus, having an Ontario-based company on-board can't hurt the chances of Ontario's own Robert Wickens, already a works Mercedes junior driver in DTM (and a WSR champion...and yet somehow Brendon Hartley, a guy who couldn't race his way down the street to the barber shop, gets the third driver role...) ;)

I hope it isn't a disaster for them.  As F1 fans, we'd all be privileged to have another competitive team and another title contender in Hamilton.

so Nico has the lighter yellow and Lewis has the darker yellow helmet?

I can see the commentators getting it wrong a few times this year.

Dont they usually run different colors on the little bar that sits on top of the Engine Intake ? Granted it's not going to be as easy as say JB, and Sergio, but given a little squinting, it should be easy to determine.
