BrisbaneAndy 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2014 I know it has been rumoured, but this article claims that the deal is done. Any ideas? Quite an interesting piece, anyway. http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2014/08/big-decisions-to-be-made-on-f1-drivers-during-next-few-months/
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2014 They have to do something don't they, look at Williams goin in with the attitude "if you can't beat them, join them" and there reaping the rewards ATM. That's why I think it would be a no brainer for Redbull to use Honda power. With Mclaren having Honda, Redbull's ties to Repsol Honda motogp team would definatly persuade Honda to re-think is availability. If I was in charge of Redbull, this would be the smartest approach IMO. Renault is going no where fast and literally and could take a few seasons to get with it, in the mean time merc pull further away in terms of development. Can and will Redbull risk that? When they have a chance of something that could potentially be gold. If Redbull got the power it needs from who ever it may be, going of the trend of previous seasons including this one, there car would be another weapon, so with the extra horses to boot, unstoppable even more so than Mercedes. But back on topic lol, lotus have this approach as it can't get any worse for them so there going on the same parth as Williams did.
