Emmcee 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2015 Seems like the Schumi name looks destined for f1 after a fantastic debut in open wheeler racing. http://www.gptoday.com/full_story/view/523498/Schumacher_Jr_takes_rookie_honours_on_singleseater_debut/ I open for discussion. I hope people won't put too much burden of expectation on this kid shoulders! Better for him to gradually build his career than to burn out quickly ! But the talent is obviously there! Emmcee 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2015 Yeah agree mate, let him run his own course. Different from max verstappen's point of view because his father was half the driver max is, so the expectation wouldn't have been so great.
rodders47 2 Report post Posted April 27, 2015 lets just hope that the young Shumi has inherited his fathers driving ability and NOT his fathers "Cheating or winning at any cost" ability
Emmcee 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2015 Hey hey, he never cheated, if your implying hill and adelaide, that was hills fault, the only time he stuffed up IMO was Jerez, even Monaco 2006 was abit iffy in the sense we don't really know what happened. Adelaide 1994, Schumi hit the walk on the previous corner and was taking his natural line into the next corner when hill dived up the inside, half of the circuit mind you in an attempt to pass, how does hill not think Schumi wouldn't close the door, he wasnt even upside far enough, even when they collided. I hold hill 100% responsible for that, always have and always will. Be different if hill was right up alongside him before Schumi turned in but he wasnt and even if the moved sticked he would have had to get a drive through for excessive curb usage as half the car was well over the curb. See how far over the curb hill is? If he continued on this exact line he would end up well over the curb.

As for Schumi jr, it must be so hard for him and not to mention unfair. Yeah doors will open easier due to his name but like you said Jem, they'll come down on him like a ton of bricks if he doesn't perform or does something out if character.
