Emmcee 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2016 Exactly and look at how much more freedom MotoGP teams have in terms of regulations and even testing availability. What's going to happen is they will bring the halo in, then drivers will complain about visibility especially in the wet so they will either ban all wet weather races or what till it's basically dry before leaving the pits or make the halo transparent. Either way it's going to cost a fortune to implement and work successfully without the guarantee of the chances of safety actually even improving. This is just the FIA shifting blame from themselves onto the individual so if another accident like bianchis ever happen again, they waive the blame back onto the team. Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2016 It is sad about Bianchi & Wilson, it was tragic - but as harsh as it sounds, this is open-wheeled motorsport. This is what they sign up for and why they're paid the big bucks. I'm all for safety, but there has to be a line. Go and race something else if you don't want to face the danger of motorsport. That's exactly right and well said. Giancarlo Fisichella once said if you make it to safe, none of us will want to do it anymore. The risk is 80% of the whole thrill knowing that one mistake (well not so much nowadays) and it could be all over.
