I think that it is. I think the British people on this forum arnt thinking straight. They just see that he is an Australian so they try and find any excuss to hate him. I can think of alot of drivers in F1 who have achieved alot less but in superior equipment (Massa, Trulli, Ralf Schumacher, Giancarlo Fisichella) for example. What have these people done to make them better than Webber. The answer is nothing but the English people on this forum would much rather insult the Australian than any other driver (with the exception of Sato).

You might not rate him but you dont bring him up at every possible opportunity. Some of the British people on this forum seem to believe that Webber is one of the worsed in the feild but really this season was Webber's first season where he didnt perform as we hoped.

You can’t be referring to me for I have consistently maintained that Webber is distinctly average. To summarise: Webber is a very good qualifier and a poor racer. He is also fairly old and yet inexperienced. He has had poor team-mates - bar Justin Wilson who wasn’t given a fair chance, and Nick Heidfeld who beat Webber - but he has beaten most of them convincingly. He is to be commended for his level of physical fitness but reprimanded for his abusive comments regarding the vast majority of his team-mates and his outrageous and frequent boasts in the media.

He’s not as bad as Jenson in terms of media boasting, or for that matter Gil, Nick, Honda or any other facet of that team…but he still does it rather too much and too forcefully. He recently indirectly compared himself to M$ and talked about the possibility of having the Williams team structured around him (albeit the impracticality of it). He shouldn't postulate the possibility of receiving treatment analogous to the seven times WDC.

He said that making a structure around him at williams would NOT be possible. At least Webber has learned from his mistakes about boasting in the media.

The Masters have returned.
"People were being killed left, right and center back then," [Phil Hill] says. "I became hyper-sensitive to the danger, and wasn't sure that I wasn't going to kill myself. As a result, racing brought out the worst in me. Without it, I don't know what kind of person I might have become. But I'm not sure I liked the person I did become, because I was selfish, irritable and defensive."
