It’s plain to see, you’re the reason that Adrian Newey designed a car.  Oh, yes you are…

You're not a closet JV fan by any chance are you Senna? Just using the excuse of the FW19 being the best looking car to post pics of JV??  ;)

Not that I'm complaining, I'd be happy to see more JV pics as goodness knows I'm fed up of the Sato album we've had to see a few times already.

"You just don't mess with Jacques Villeneuve" - Murray Walker, 1997 Hungarian GP.
"When Jacques was with us, he was a very aggressive driver, fiercely competitive, mentally hard as nails. Very quick with it, very gifted. A bright fellow, undoubtedly, very intelligent. He was an absolutely born racing driver - look at the way he'd bang wheels with Michael, pass people on the outside, that kind of thing" -Sir Frank Williams on Jacques Villeneuve
"This year, with BMW, JV's going very well, and I'm pleased for him. Whether or not he'll get a drive next year I don't know, but I hope he does, he's an unusual, and very strong addition to the F1 community. A character." - Sir Frank Williams again on Jacques Villeneuve
The Nojvnof1 2006 driver lineup - Jacques Villeneuve, Nico Rosberg, Christian Klein, Scott Speed.

JV is the only blemish on that beauty.  However, since he is not part of the car he doesn’t taint it.  I found some new pictures of the FW19; I haven’t posted these ones before.  It is a stunning car, the deep oceanic blue, the gold, red and white patterns.  The livery is quite simply sublime.

Ah yes, the Sato collection will be made available to the forum once more in the future.  I was going to post some pictures of the great man’s escapades once it was officially confirmed that he was jobless.  It now seems he might drive in 2006.  I suppose the collection will continue to grow…

Now this is the most beautiful car ever to grace a formula 1 grid........
"Schumacher has said he does not want to do anything bad or for anything bad to happen in this race, so I just hope that is what happens for his sake - but this shows how far Ferrari are prepared to go to help Michael win this Championship."

JV - Oct 25, 1997 - after Saturday Practice in the final round of the 1997 championship at Jerez, Spain. The next day would prove just how far Schumi was willing to go...................

Mmm! Not everybody's cup of tea, but I like it!
This sort of creativity is stifled by ever more restrictive technical regulations these days.

BTW, it's Watkins Glen, 1979.

Hey Senna, I also love the FW19 - afterall, it took JV to the WDC in 1997 - but I don't think it was the most beautiful F1 car ever.

What is it about the FW19 that you feel so strongly about? Is it the livery, or the lines of the car, or something less tangible perhaps?

The car itself is somewhat rectilinear and non-organic don't you think? Some of the newer designs are far more flowing and beautiful, whereas previous cars were certainly more daring and adventurous. The cars from the mid-90s to me seemed to be the result of overly rigid design limitations derived by the FIA from regulations that were still in a state of transition (and as a result, many of the cars looked virtually the same).

I understand that like many other matters of taste, the aesthetic qualities of the FW19 may be hard to verbalize, but I would be interested in knowing which qualitites of that car you admire most.

I won't either, but to call JV a blemish even though he took the thing to a World Title is a tad harsh.

i dont know, really to look good a car just needs to be a certain shade of red, i said it before, i lust love that red.

little comic i came up with:

KR: My car is the fastest on the grid!
FA: HAHA!!! that doesnt help if you never finish!
DC: My car gives me wings!
MS: My car is Scarlet. +10 to my cool factor.

i know, stupid but i think its funny and thats all that matters
