The Sauber name should remain in F1. Hell, its in their facility, thats one reason why Peter built the wind tunnel.

BAR/Honda still use the Tyrell facility!

I expect the Sauber name to continue for some time yet. Half the team is based in Hinwil and the team itself is registered in Switzerland, whilst Peter holds some shares in the team.

"You just don't mess with Jacques Villeneuve" - Murray Walker, 1997 Hungarian GP.
"When Jacques was with us, he was a very aggressive driver, fiercely competitive, mentally hard as nails. Very quick with it, very gifted. A bright fellow, undoubtedly, very intelligent. He was an absolutely born racing driver - look at the way he'd bang wheels with Michael, pass people on the outside, that kind of thing" -Sir Frank Williams on Jacques Villeneuve
"This year, with BMW, JV's going very well, and I'm pleased for him. Whether or not he'll get a drive next year I don't know, but I hope he does, he's an unusual, and very strong addition to the F1 community. A character." - Sir Frank Williams again on Jacques Villeneuve
The Nojvnof1 2006 driver lineup - Jacques Villeneuve, Nico Rosberg, Christian Klein, Scott Speed.

On a more serious note, anyone else seem to notice that they got rid of the Sauber V-mount radiotor seeting. Any reason on why they would have done this!?!? I thought the V-mount set-up was amazing for cooling and enabled them to have even smaller sidepods....

New radiators

Old V-mount setup is very well seen here

Good call Ben, but I haven't heard anything yet.... when we do, I assume it will be something classicly Teutonic, as sexy and thought provoking as "we found it to be more effecient".
"Schumacher has said he does not want to do anything bad or for anything bad to happen in this race, so I just hope that is what happens for his sake - but this shows how far Ferrari are prepared to go to help Michael win this Championship."

JV - Oct 25, 1997 - after Saturday Practice in the final round of the 1997 championship at Jerez, Spain. The next day would prove just how far Schumi was willing to go...................

Yeah, it just saddens me because it was one of those special Sauber things. I don't many other teams - even if there was any - that were running the V-Shape radiators... :( .....I mean they could have an even tighter car if they kept the V-Shaped radiators with even better cooling....

For those not familiar with this setup :

"The C24 features sidepods with an extremely narrow bottom section – a design feature great for improving airflow management and downforce, but not so great for engine cooling (and hence reliability). The answer? Innovative V-shaped radiators, allowing for reduced sidepod height and excellent cooling – so good in fact that no further gills have been added for the very hot Malaysian race."
