Suzuki is of course supported by managing director Daniele Audetto. Since the demise of Arrows in the middle of ’02 the Italian has been running the facility at Leafield, England on behalf of John Menard.
Audetto is best known for following Luca di Montezemolo as Ferrari team manager in the mid-70s, including the controversial 1976 season. He also enjoyed spells at the head of Lancia and Fiat rally programs. After a long absence he returned to F1 with engine supplier Lamborghini. Following another sabbatical he returned to work with Tom Walkinshaw on a variety of projects, usually in a commercial or sponsorship role.
The chief operating officer is another man with Walkinshaw connections. Kevin Lee was a key figure in TWR’s World Sportscar Championship and touring car teams. Later Walkinshaw brought him into Arrows, although he was rarely seen at races.
Mark Preston, who had been heading up an F1 design group at Silverstone while searching for a customer, takes on the role of chief technical officer. He was head of R&D at Arrows when the team folded. His chief designer is little-known ex-McLaren man Peter McCool.
Yet another ex-Arrows face is team manager Mick Ainsley-Cowlishaw, who was chief mechanic at Benetton in the Schumacher era before joining Arrows. Chief mechanic Phill Spencer has a resume that stretches as far back as Shadow in 1979. He later worked at Toleman/Benetton, before joining Jordan in 1996.
Chief engineer Graham Taylor was Heinz-Harald Frentzen’s engineer at Arrows in 2002, while race engineer Gerry Hughes was at Jaguar for several years, working with Eddie Irvine.
The depth of experience will certainly help, but nevertheless the team is facing huge odds as it races to modify a used four-year-old chassis to take the Honda V8.

one is "fia give Saf1 go ahead"
another, started by honda,"asking" if SAf1 will be at the back of the grid.both topics are multi page, and this new info released by the team today is a different topic, and deserves to be one.

details on this!? Very intereting none the less! I am actually also pretty anxious to see what Dome will be able to make as a chassis in the long end! Dome have pretty good rep, so pretty sure they will be able to make them a great chassis

Also, I second Senna's proposal to merge this with the general SAF1 thread.

Super Aguri's plan to be on the grid for Bahrain, albeit with a 2002 car, has taken another step forward with the news that the SA05 - previously the Arrows A23 - has completed further crash tests.
The (mandatory) FIA test has become more stringent since the A23 was designed, and consequently improvements were required.
The Leafield based outfit, which only had its entry in the 2006 Formula One World Championship confirmed two weeks ago, only has to pass one further test before the SA05 gets the 'green light' for Bahrain.
A spokeswoman for the team has confirmed to Pitpass: "The SA05 monocoque and associated structures has passed the FIA mandatory homologation tests, both static and dynamic."
She also said that drivers for the forthcoming test at Barcelona will be named "soon".
Meanwhile, talking to the Italian media, Super Aguri's Managing Director, Daniele Audetto, has said that following the modifications made to the A23 in order that it can pass the various tests will mean that it bears little resemblance to the original car.
"To conform with the new regulations the bodywork has had to be completely revised," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
