Here it is, the McLaren 2006 livery.....

I dunno, but the similarities to Midland's new scheme are a little too much for me.....

What do the rest of you think??
"Schumacher has said he does not want to do anything bad or for anything bad to happen in this race, so I just hope that is what happens for his sake - but this shows how far Ferrari are prepared to go to help Michael win this Championship."

JV - Oct 25, 1997 - after Saturday Practice in the final round of the 1997 championship at Jerez, Spain. The next day would prove just how far Schumi was willing to go...................

I'm not impressed. It does have a hint of MF1 about it, as Jay pointed out, but I just don't think this livery does the shape of the car any favours at all. I thought it looked pretty good in McLaren orange (probably alone in that thought) but this is a retrograde step. I hope the Vodaphone livery is better than this.

Ned to see it for real, as pix sometimes don't do them justice. I think the touvh of red just to brag about Vodaphone's up coming sponsorship is very cheeky.
The chrome certainly is a little different, maybe to match Monty's helmet??
I too, thought it was a little close to MF1's colours, but then again Williams and BMW are similar too aren't they (as too is ferrari and toyota)

Cheers

It's Ok, the chrome effect is interesting but the car looks far too busy.  It makes the rather ugly body design become more apparent.  I personally liked the orange better.  It was simple yet striking.

The colours are far to similar to midland for my taste.

I really like the livery. How will look the driver`s clothes? But the most important for me is how reliable Mercedes will be.

ROFL, man Mac suck at the moment.

But they probably think the shiny chrome is gonna blind the other drivers causing them to crash

Do they really think a bling bling livery inspired by gangsta rap is a great idea?

The red just takes the cake.

The new chrome livery reminds me of some cars seen at various tuning days, much more like Fast And Furious than Formula 1,but it is something new in the sport so it's cool!!There are already two red banners free for vodafone I see....

As do I.  Nice and shiny.  It contrasts well with the dab of red.

Ok well Its unique. And it wont please everyone. From the side it looks good but the red on the front and rear wing is awful and the sponsors are a bit busy but in my opinion BMW and RBR still have the best looking car atm.

I liked the Orange look for McLaren, however, No company about to recieve Vodafone sponsorship is going to paint their car orange. Its business-politics!

(Note to the uninitiated.....The UK has 5 mobile phone companies with their own transmitters. Vodafone, MMO2, T-Mobile, 3 and ..... Orange) Globally Orange owned by France Telecom is also a significant rival to Vodafone and fellow giant (Renault sponsor) Telefonica. I hope Super Aguri will inherit Arrows sponsorship.....I have an Orange mobile phone!

i think it looks good,,,minus the red.  i wonder where the red influence is coming from it looks so out of place.  i wonder if it has something to do with next year's title sponsor and bringing forward the sponsorship to 2006...

it must be said that it loooks mighty fast though, whatever the livery.   check the sidepods they look badass fast
