Maybe, if Red Bull or any team for that matter come out with a awesome car with some great aero, you can bet that all the teams will and do copy each other.

You can see how secretive the teams are being at the moment with them not releasing where they are going to test which is giving Bridgestone a hard time. Most teams really want to carry out their initial tests in relative privacy.

 You're right! I hadn't considered poor Bridgestone in all of this!!

The Australian edition didn't have the photoshop image of the green on white Honda :( Needless to say I was disappointed.

Yeah the teams are giving Bridgestone a hard time by not confirming their test venues. Bridgestone don't know where they have to be and when.

Bridgestone should tell the teams that refuse to confirm their test venues that if they dont say where they are going right now then bridgestone will not provide them with tyres for the upcoming tests. Im sure if they did that then the teams would suddenly become more cooperative.

I wish I could see, hmm....I hope they will publish it in next month's Autocar.(Indian edition).
Honda may well use Green on white, guess they are using black for time being.

I was thinking the same thing.

Bridgestone did all the teams a favour (including non 06 Bridgestone teams) by supplying them with the 07 spec tyre in the pre-Christmas tests, something that they had didn't have to do, and they get a royal muck around in return from most of the teams as they fail to advise of test dates and venues.

Schumacher to shake down new TF107 today

Toyotas new car, the TF107, will undergo a shakedown at the Paul Ricard circuit in France later today, Tuesday the ninth of January, ahead of the official launch this coming Friday. In an attempt to get a jump on their rivals, regular driver Ralf Schumacher will carry out this newly modified agenda while third driver Franck Montagny, who was scheduled to undertake an aerodynamic test at Vairano in Italy this week, will now defer his plans until next week, after the launch.

Despite the delay, Franck is very pleased with the way things are progressing.

I could see the new car, sit inside, check all the minor details that will make life a lot easier when I return for the first tests and at the moment it is all going very well. The team is really very accessible and I am finding myself fitting in there more and more, he told his official website.

From there Franck will join in with the teams scheduled testing session at the end of the month....

I will get in the car next week to carry out a small aero test in Italy, which will mark the beginning of the season 2007 for me, he told GP2007.com. Then, from there, it will continue very quickly, between the official presentation of the new car in Cologne and my first test at the end of the month.

I hope we get to see some photo's of this car today.

Yeah I'd say we should get heaps of photos of the new Toyota.

Toyota always seem to prefer to stick with just minor evolutions on the current design hence their adoption of two new cars per year in the Gascoyne days, so I for one would be surprised if we see anything that is really exciting. But it's still a great time that we have finally arrived at that time of year when the new cars get launched.

Interesting that Ferrari have apparently banned photographers from Fiorano during the test debut of their new car. And they may only issue the press with official photos of their new car rather than have the actually car on hand at the launch. All pure speculation.

07 launch season set to blast off

F1's annual launch season is about to kick off.

On Friday, Toyota will become the first of its ten rivals to unveil a 2007 car, when the wraps come off the TF107 at Expo XXI in Cologne.

Team racer Ralf Schumacher reportedly conducted system checks at the wheel of the new single seater at Paul Ricard (France) on Tuesday.

Ferrari will launch its unnamed challenger at Maranello on Sunday, although it is rumoured that the only glimpse of the machine for the assembled media will be in the form of official photographs.

While Felipe Massa then gives the Ferrari its track debut at Fiorano on Monday, McLaren will be launching the newly-Vodafone liveried MP4-22.

World champion Fernando Alonso will start testing the Mercedes-powered car at Valencia on Wednesday, a day after BMW-Sauber reveals its F1.07 at the same circuit in Spain.

Over at the Jerez circuit, photographers will snap at the 'R27' Renault for the first time, even though the official Amsterdam launch will take place a week later.

Also around 24-25 January, Honda's new RA107 will see the light of day at the northern Barcelona venue Circuit de Catalunya, with a separate livery launch to take place some time in February.

Red Bull and Toro Rosso are expected to get their Adrian Newey-inspired cars up and running in early February. Red Bull's RB3 could be the first to hit a track, possibly in late January, and Super Aguri have similarly not released any launch details.

"Most of the teams are getting their cars in late January," Toro Rosso's Scott Speed said at a motorcycle racing event in California, "so we're going to know exactly what our goals are going to be (for 2007) at the beginning of February."

On February 2, Williams' Toyota-powered FW29 will be launched at Grove ahead of a maiden test at Jerez, and the 2007 Spyker is also heading for an early February date.

I haven't had the chance to get anything on the Livery for '07 Honda from my source... But I found the following news on the car...

We have a marketing plan, which will surprise a lot of people and get them interested by our approach for next year, said team boss Nick Fry
You will not see a car covered in Honda logos, it will be something very different.

Fry says they plan to unveil the new car, likely to be dubbed the RA107, in late January. It will run in an all-black livery until the second unveiling prior to the start of the season.

I was tempted to email Alistair and ask him again about the livery but I think he's gonna get sick of the 300 questions. Apparently he's back in SA in March after the Aussie GP, I'll get some scoop for you guys then B)
