F1 race boss shunts at Daytona
from grandprix.com
Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Tony George - the man who runs the United States Grand Prix - decided this year to make a racing comeback despite the fact that he has not driven a race car since 2001.
The 47-year-old used his Vision Racing IRL team to enter a Crawford-Porsche for the Daytona 24 Hours, listing his stepson Ed Carpenter, Tomas Scheckter and Anthony Foyt as his co-drivers. The car, which was acquired from Eddie Cheever, was testing at Daytona on Friday when George lost control and crashed. He emerged unscathed.
****
I noticed he didn't opt to drive one of the dangerous sh!tboxes from his own series, the IRL...........if he did, he would be either with Dana or sitting in the same hospital bed as Brack.

Don't rest in peace, Bruce. Raise Hell.

______
Give me a roof over my head, some food to eat and a fast car. That's all I need.
That's all I'll ever need.

----Alain Prost
The only true sports are motor racing and mountain climbing; everything else is just a game.
