Thanks to James for the High-res pics, they actually have some big enough to fill my monitor without getting the picture all grainy (I have a 20" widescreen flatpanel LCD).

No problem. There are a lot of good wallpapers on www.carwalls.com I found the site when I got my new computer with a res of 1680*1050. Theres only pics of the BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Renault but they are high res and the Ferrari and Renault are quite good pics.

just looked again and found pics of the 2004 toyota and jaguar

" I never think I can hurt myself, not seriously. If you believe it can happen to you, how can you do this job? If your never over eight-tenths, or whatever, because your thinking about a shunt, your not going as quick as you can. And if your not doing that, your not a racing driver. Some guys in Formula 1... well, to me, they're not racing drivers. They drive racing cars, that's all. They're doing half a job. And in that case, I wonder why they do it at all..."

EDIT: In case anyone thinks I'm actually serious, I'm not really. About 20% serious because I can't figure out any reason why those winglets should generate lift, as they obviously do, but the rest of the theory is just wacky. I sometimes need a wacky theory or two to shake up the 'ole braincells. Most likely they are for cleaning up the air close to the c#ckpit, as both the c#ckpit-end wishbone and push-rod are wings.

good research!  :congrats: I plan to build   sports cars once I have finished my studies and some years of experience! I would like to offer you the job as the chief aerodynamist and employ Lewis as the test driver!

The diagonal barcode strip looks hideous. At least in the past the barcodes were integrated in the livery - this just looks like an afterthought, nicotine patches. They also need to stop overlooking the section in the "What makes a Ferrari a Ferrari" handbook that clearly states that wheels MUST be gold. I got excited when their jackets in that ski meeting actually included a green stripe!

I agree with you not a big fan of the barcode design.  Here are some pics from their recent test in Bahrain.  I would much rather see the car with this livery.  Also, over the years I feel that Ferrari has gotten further and further away from the traditional Ferrari red.  In the past few seasons it has almost been orange.  I think this year looks a little more red but hard to say.  I would love to see Ferrari with a Yellow livery(never going to happen but I think it would be something cool.)

I'm actually trying to convince a friend of mine to build a race car for a grass-roots series here on the west coast....I don't think, however, that we could convince Hammy to drive it.

very true, its hard to find pictures of any of the other cars at 1650x1080 or higher resolutions

Does anyone have any pictures of the 06 Ferrari as an overhead shot like I have in my signature?  I would interested to see the difference in the longer wheelbase, if you can see it vs last year.

Yet Marlboro must pay them a lot more for 6 races than many other sponsors for a whole season.

The difference is very small and I doubt you'd really see it much.

The red is nicer, I will admit that but the livery is nothing ground breaking. It may just be me, but I think those barcodes look a little out of place

Cheers mate.

Yea I'm a Ferrari fan, Schumacher is my favourite and even if he is retired he will always be my fav.

Out of the current drivers it's Kimi, I'm just hoping he'll have a good season and challenge for the title but also hopefully Massa B)

If nothing else, it looks great this year. I espcially like the "cherry" red they are currently using.
