[Jenson_Rules]

I'm just making the thread now to be ready for the launch on the 25th of the new Honda RA107!!! Can't bloody wait!

Its getting a shakedown on monday so i think that is when we will see the first photo's.

We may actually see a new colour/paint scheme.

The Green BP one looked somewhat awesome.

The new livery is going to be revealed just before the start of the season. At the moment when the car is released it will be in their testing livery - black!

  Perhaps I have missed something and should have paid more attention. What green BP scheme?

    Just seen it in the 2007 cars Launch.


  Must say, good as it looks, I actually think it would look better with the green the dominant colour, edged by white.

  Think of the 1991 Jordan or Jaguar.


  I also think, that to be a totally new marketing concept, the team may just put the primary sponsor's (whoever that may be) logo 'around' the car with their corporate colour scheme and then the minority sponsors in the background.

And if it was all green, then atleast we'd be able to identify it, i'm bored of every car being White and Red.

Thing is though Honda have ALWAYS been white. That has always been the Honda colour and thus them using it I don't have a problem with. It's all the other teams using it that annoy me!

White/Red have been the Japanese national colours in F1 since forever. I suppose Toyota, Honda, and SA are entitled to it.

Dont hold your breath guys, Although the new car will be revealed on Thursday in testing, it will be in the black testing livery! The new look livery will only be seen at the official launch in February.

i thought they were doing shakedown tests today and all this week. Why are they hardly testing at all. I'm starting ti get worried, they are being far too relaxed!

I was hopeing for photo's aswell but it isnt looking promising. I doubt Honda want photo's leaked on the internet and our only hope is one of the pitcrew take a quite photo and post them on the internet. This is what happened with Renault and im hopeing it will happen to other teams.

- The New exhaust system
- Its apparently very fast!
- Looks really good (another mate of my dad's saw it at the Honda factory, but in black livery)

Wez's informant may think that the Honda is quick but they wont know until they actually start testing it. I als remember Honda talking up their 2006 car saying that it was a championship contender and we all know how that turned out. The truth is that any team that says there car is a championship condender without even racing the car isnt very bright as they 1. have no idea how fast their car is and 2. have no idea how fast the other teams are.

That is unfortunantly true. However judging by pre season testing last year they certainly looked in a great position!

This same guy said the 2004 BAR would guaranteed finish in the top 3 of the constructors... As It turned out they finished 2nd.. Who would ever have thought?

But like Mike says, the real test will be how quick they are compared to other teams.
Personally I think Honda & Mclaren will be faster than most people expect them to be this season...
The constructors will be between Mclaren & Ferrari followed by Honda then Renault.

Yes, "fast" is a comparative term in the world of motorsport.
