i think kimi - jenson would be the best driver line-up on the grid, better than kimi - massa. (although alonso-hamilton in 2 years time could be pretty dominant, lets see)

Briatore dumped Button as he felt Alonso and Trulli were better drivers.

Maybe he will sign for both of them, so we can see another stupid Button contract fight again.

Pfft, will they heck want him, and if they do he'll have pretty much the role that Barichello played at Ferrari with no chance of winning.

^ I suppose that is of course if he continues to fail to deliver and fails to geta decent Honda under him.

Its not his fault Honda cant make a quick car. It's also not his fault he has dominated all his teamates since 2003 and yet still he gets slagged off as being Sh#te. Its also not his fault that he is illadvised by his managers!

So where's the new livery?  Wonder if maybe they will go with a green livery similar to those found in gIRL...

Aparently it's green. Which will be a nice change. At least it will be easily identifiable. Shame the car is completely unable to adapt to the Bridgestones!

JB certainly delivered the goods in the second half of last season. Honda really do need to sort themselves out for JB sake!

Well, he's had some really decent performances but is really quite inconsistent in Qualifying where he'd often struggle to reach the second KO stage. We could never really tell in the race, how ell he was going as he'd ususlly get bogged down in mid-grid and then maybe retire via the car breaking down.

In a number of races he's ended up about 5th after just a few laps in but we see him falling 1.2 seconds behind the front few each lap and he'll do a pretty reasonable job but he's always lacked that spark for me. He may be pushing that car to the limit but it really doesn't look like it.

I know he's destroyed his team-mates but Barichello had an equally good ending to the year imo.

It's hard to tell as I thought Rubens was a very good driver before moving, but I guess quite a bit of it was down to the Ferrari under him.

---

Maybe deliver was the wrong word but his career desicions may have hindered him from greater success too.

Hi all,
I found out some really interesting stuff recently about the 2006 season past and the upcoming 2007 season from a good mate of my dads.
Who might this be I hear you ask, well someone who guaranteed knows more about the current f1 scene than anyone on this forum, Some of which I cant repeat just yet.
He is Alister Gibson, the Honda chief mechanic (also know as the guy who smacked Jenson Button on the helmet with a lollypop during a chaotic pitstop earlier this season)

In a nutshell, here is some of the stuff I heard from him...

- Honda will be a Very competitive package for 2007 and have a new exhaust system while exits the car alongside the c0ckpit for aerodynamic reasons.

-Ferrari have lost several key members and will not be the team they were.

- Barrichello is the only driver in F1 who brakes & accelerates with his right foot (as oppose to right foot accelerate, left brake). The telemetry has shown he looses several Milli seconds on every braking opportunity.

- Jenson Button uses less traction control than nearly any driver, Barrichello is one of the most dependent drivers on it.

- The Renault has the lightest front end of any f1 making it quick on acceleration but extreamly difficult to drive. This is the reason why it often appears Alonso is fighting the car through corners on onboard shots!

- Toyota paid Mike Gascoigne massive amounts of money to come help out the team as a consultant towards the end of this season despite firing him earlier in the season.

I'll post more of what he said as I remember it.... O yes, eat your heart out Jem anad Ben, I got the official Jenson Button Cap signed by the race winner himself ^_^

Some more details on the new Honda livery:

Honda Racing F1, in line with continuing speculation, will be developing a 'green' theme for the 2007 season, with the team possibly concluding a deal to use different Google Earth imagery at each event.

To be launched at the Natural History Museum in London on 26 February, the 'eco' livery has been in development for some time.

"It's been fixed in terms of concept since Imola last year," Nick Fry told Autosport. "The green theme is loosely what we're aiming for, but all will be revealed on February 26! Wait and see what's going to happen. It's a different approach."

RealHondaF1.com understand that the team will cover the car with different images from Google Earth for each race, overlaying sponsor logos on top. It would be safe to assume that the images would be of each Grand Prix's host country.

Well said.

Briatore also sweats swimming pools full of water, left Heidi Klum a single mother (for a time), and once dated Naomi Campbell. I think the man is extremely delusional.

Dunno. Might be quite good. At least it won't be silver, red or orange. The other teams seem to have used up all the available colours. Which leaves green.
