Correct. Allen probably knows more about F1 than most, but he was a poor communicator. Legard is okay but still makes a few too many mistakes.

Eddie Jordan is the new bad guy, thankfully he is not commentating though, and we have the voice of reason DC to counteract him.

I never thought I would say it, but I think DC is doing quite a good job on BBC :o . Eddie Jordan just seems a bit bewildered. The Jake chappy seems OK, at least he give the impression that he has watched F1 for more than 10 minutes. Martin is OK as ever. As for Legard? Well my wife can't stand him, he is annoying and has a habit of talking over Martin, but I find I can tune him out a lot easier than James Allen.

I watched the practice and actually found the commentary from the Radio 5 Live and Anthony Davidson quite fun so when the race is on "live" (I cheated and recorded it) I may give that a go instead.

I feel a bit sorry for Eddie. Seems nerves are getting the better of him.
Legard's definately an improvement on Allen - but then who wouldn't be?

Yeah, Meani, the Radio 5 guys are pretty cool, I think I'll try the next GP with their commentary, when I go back to Brizzle.
Legard gives the impression that he doesn't really know about F1, and talks too much, but at least we can expect him to improve. I have the impression that James Allen had already commented for some years and he was still quite hopeless xD

Yeah the radio guys are good, Ant Davidson seems a pretty good commentator.

Legard had previously commentated on Radio so I suspect he does know a bit about F1.

Now this is the consolidated UK broadcasting resource thread...

Fray Luis de León said:

As we were saying yesterday...
Fray Luis de León wrote mystical poems which prompted Cervantes to proclaim León "a genius who astounds the world and who, in ecstasy, might rob us of our senses." León was also an active man who taught at the University of Salamanca, translated classical and biblical literature, and wrote on religious themes. Twice denounced before the Inquisition, he was imprisoned for "heresy," though he returned to the University to later hold the chairs of Moral Philosophy and Biblical Studies.

Tradition has it that he began his lecture the first day after returning from four years' imprisonment with the words "as we were saying yesterday..."

Racing Reference

Extremely useful for statistics, has results from every Formula 1 grand prix.  F1 isn't their main focus, as you could probably tell, so there are some mistakes, but overall, it's pretty helpful.  You can see drivers' results by track, too, which is interesting.

This site is very interesting. Using a rating system it works out who the best driver in the world, plus the best driver in a particular series every week. You can also search for drivers and see their most recent results and lots of other really facinating information. It also includes race results from a great many number of series right from 1950. The Castrol rankings system is a good idea; it would be useful to have a way of deciding who drove best in any given series over the year and it's the only decent attempt I've seen for that. Unfortunately I just don't think the technology/criteria it uses is really sophisticated enough to come to a valid result, it still uses a circular logic of "this driver won this championship so he must have drove the best".

Just want to take this opportunity to say hello to all Forum members. I have not posted on a Forum before now, third post. I have partisipated in the Pick the Pole, Winner and posted on the Comments column for now three years. So please bare with me, if I make some mistakes, I do like to read the very enlightened comments. But vulgar and nastiness have no place here. Like many of the drivers today and those in the past that I am more familiar with are gentlemen and women. And everyone do at times make a slip from time to time.

So much for my "dribble", again, Hello To All. And all the best wishes to Robert Kubica on this speedy recovery, God Bless.

It's not the exact same title, and it's not a book, but I do believe that there is relative information to which you seek contained within it.  Personally I have not seen this movie, but I have heard great things from those that have and their ability to "not murder" was drastically changed.

Look for a DVD / Video called "Fatal Attraction".  I'm sure you can find it at your local vid-shop.

We keep on working, we do our thing, Vettel shouts over the team radio,We are who we are!

"Vettel is a champion. That’s not referring to his achievements, but rather to his approach to everything he does. He wins. All the time. His preparation is meticulous, his attention to detail reminiscent of Michael Schumacher at his peak, and his performance on the track is almost always flawless. Vettel is capable only of domination. He knows no other way... Vettel is not in Formula One to be liked. He is there to win. And in the words of Ayrton Senna, perhaps the greatest of all Formula One drivers, “Nice men don’t win.”"

Great finding! Indeed, James Allen is great and Windsor's blog seems as enjoyable.
