Doesn\'t really look any different from the F2007 apart from the re-profiled sidepods. As usual though, the version that rolls out for the first race will probably have some extra aero parts on it.

Beautiful car indeed...

Looks like an insect... biological design I think, more curved lines less straight ones...  :o

Shiny :)

EDIT: That front wing is huge.

Least imaginitive name. Ever.

How about this one then, a turbo with the wastegate wide open untill the driver presses the boost button, then the wastegate returns enough boost to make another 75bhp for 8 seconds.  Standard ECU to prevent abuse. Monitored constantly. Only allowed to use it if there is a car close in front, and a penalty given if the driver doesn't make an attempt to pass. We like?

I like the fact that most of the car is deep red. The only big difference is the Alice sponsor on the nose of the car & it being on the middle of the steering wheel.

The sidepods are what caught my eye.  They look amazing, but I'm sure will get wrecked if running over some grass or a curb.  Am looking forward to this years season as I'm sure all you guys are as well.
"Obviously I am pleased to have many fans. Who would not want? But to be honest, I have no idea why people like me."

"There is always a lot of talk about the motivation but nobody really knows what I do or what I think except for myself, so I don't really care about what people say."

"There's always talk about my motivation, written by people who don't know me and couldn't have an idea on how strong my motivation is. If I didn't feel I had the motivation, I would stop. My feeling is that I probably drove some of my best races in my last season in Formula One and I was very happy with my performance. I've never had any issues with motivation."

What a beautiful car!

And the attention to detail is amazing. Just comparing it to the ferraris in the late 90s, its like a whole completely different racing series! Like GP2 cars and now F1 cars look like they belong in airports.

I really am shocked at just how beautiful the F2008 is! It really is work of art and I've never been a fan of the Ferrari's, I've always found them a bit on the chunky side when compared to the Renault's etc!

Here is a comparison of the F2007 (top) and the F2008 (Bottom) I threw together. I guess the barge boards weren't really redesigned that much. Now you do have to take into account the F2007 is pre season so it does not have any of the additions that were made during the season. Man it's nice to see that #1 on the nose again. What you can see is that the back is even more coke-bottled then ever

The top profile on the front wing is very much like the Toyota's, how it flows into the nose cone.

The top wing profile on the rear wing has been curved as the profile reaches the wing end plate.

What are everyone thoughts on the higher sides around the driver's helmet? It will be interesting to see just how cocooned the driver looks in the c#ckpit with the higher sides, especially the drivers that are shorter or like to sit lower in the car.

Nice design in all - it looks to have the goods to deliver another Championship to Kimi.

Aparently the wheelbase is to within a few millimeters of the F2007's wheelbase.

I disagree, I think it's the same scarlet red that they ran since about Monaco, not the Marlboro inspired red your talking about Jez. It's hard to tell exactly till it hits the track at Fiorano tomorrow.

Perhaps. It looks similar to the colour of the Ferrari in Dribblers sig. I'm Looking forward to hearing Kimis opinions of the new car after his first thrash in it!

The more I look at it the more I'm not sure now

No, it's the same scarlet red they finished 2007 with, i'm certain now. Have a look at this picture Jez.

I wonder how Felipe and Kimi are going to find the visablity of the F2008 rear view mirrors (still being located way out on the very edge of the sidepod) with the mandatory raised and lengthened sides :eusa_think:

Brilliant looking car, seems to have a very balanced look and will have a superb airflow from the front wing to the rear wing.

Hopefully somebody can top that or we might have a very Red 2008 <_<
