Mercedes lures 2 engineers away from Red Bull

Mercedes AMG has announced it has signed two engineers from Red Bull Racing to strengthen the technical department following the departure of Ross Brawn as team principal.

Mark Ellis will join the team as Performance Director in June 2014. Giles Wood will take up the position of Chief Engineer, Simulation and Development at the same time.

Mercedes hopes the two men in their newly created roles will be able to strengthen the technical organisation, "particularly in the fields of simulation and vehicle dynamics".
