Rosberg ends German Friday practices on top

F1 Grand Prix, GP Germany, Hockenheimringde

Just like in the morning practice at Hockenheim, Nico Rosberg proved fastest, and yet again little more than three tenths ahead of his Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian Vettel in the Ferrari was third fastest, 6 tenths down on the German pace setter.

It was generally another session without too much drama, even though many drivers were seen going wide on the exit of turn 1, something which racing director Charlie Whiting had warned would see the drivers get reported to the stewards. Among them were Vettel and Verstappen, although no disciplinary action was taken for the events during this session.

Other highlights were Vettel getting a bit frustrated when his team had apparently not noticed that he was running his long stint in traffic, saying over the radio "I'm doing this all by myself".

Hamilton was also clearly annoyed by a bit of a moment when he came out of the pitlane, amidst an overtaking manoeuvre of Ricciardo on Rio Haryanto.
