Why Ferrari are confident of a strong British Grand Prix

After a strong race day in Montreal last weekend, Ferrari are confident that both drivers will be competitive in this weekend's British Grand Prix.

Leclerc started at the back of the grid inCanada, yet he fought back to finish the race in fifth place after a verystrong drive up through the field. Therefore, there is really no doubt that theupcoming British Grand Prix should see him back at the front of the field andfighting for the victory he couldn’t secure in Montreal. With a nice fresh engine in the back of his Ferrari, he is expected to be extremely competitive and hunting for a third win against rivals at Red Bull Racing.

The Ferrari has 'been quick everywhere'

“Yeah, with a clean package, and Charles's last words were ‘we need to arrive in Silverstone and smash it’. And you know he's going to be right back,” Clear told F1 Nation . “It's been quick everywhere,” he said of the Ferrari. “And I know that Charles will be competitive. And Carlos will have got a lot of confidence. "So yeah, but both of them are going to be up there. It's going to be business as usual. And a very good fight with the Red Bulls.”

Horner wary of Ferrari and Mercedes

Clear is not the only one that thinks Ferrari will be competitive in Silverstone, with Red Bull boss Christian Horner of the same opinion, only he thinks that after their performance in Montreal, Mercedes will also be in the fight. "I think Mercedes will be strong at Silverstone and I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be at Paul Ricard," said Horner. "I think Ferrari will be quick at Silverstone as well. It could be more of a challenging circuit for us, just due to the nature of its layout. "It's incredible that we've put a run of six race victories together, but Silverstone could well be the most challenging yet."
