It is not the first time NBA star player Jimmy Butler visit a F1 Grand Prix weekend, and as he currently plays for the Miami Heat, showing up for the Miami Grand Prix made sense. After already meeting Lando Norris in 2019, when the British driver took him for a lap around Montreal, Butler showed up to support the young McLaren driver.

"That's who I aspire to be. He's great, he's young, he's a little bit attractive, and so I think it's good to be him right now," Butler said on F1's Instagram page, just after he pointed on the the name tag "Lando" written above the McLaren logo on his shirt.

Butler already has an eye on which Grand Prix to visit next. "No, I've been here a couple of times. I went to Montreal. I want to go Monaco, though. So that's the next one on my list."

While the Heat player likes to follow F1, he doesn't like driving like that himself. "I have not [sit in an F1 car], I don't think I will, and like I tell everybody, I don't like to go fast. I want to go slow. I drive like big cars, not small fast ones."

"[Lando] does, and I think that's why I think I lied to you. My name is really not Lando, it's Jimmy. So that's probably why I don't get in these cars," the American joked.
