Renault release images of 2014 V6 engine

Renault Sport has released computer generated images of the V6 engine it will be supplying to teams in 2014, with the sport preparing for a switch from V8 units. The 1.6-litre turbocharged powerplant will make its fully-fledged debut early next year, having undergone extensive dyno testing at the brand's Viry-Châtillon headquarters. "The new V6s are the biggest change to hit the engine world in over ten years, perhaps ever," Renault Sport's Deputy Managing Director Rob White said of the new turbocharged units, before reiterating: "Formula 1 is still going to be very loud, it is still going to be a very violent event.
