Red Bull confirms pit-stop world record

Red Bull has confirmed that it broke the Formula 1 pit-stop record at the Malaysian Grand Prix, with the team recording a personal best stationary time of 2.05 seconds. The previous benchmark was recorded by McLaren at the 2012 German Grand Prix, when all four tyres on Jenson Button's car were changed in 2.31 seconds. According to Red Bull's car data, the previous record was beaten on five separate occasions during the race. This included the switch from Intermediate to slick tyres, with both Webber and Sebastian Vettel's stops completed in 2.13 seconds.
