Barcelona not keen on rotation

Valencia's hopes of returning to the Formula One calendar continue to diminish with Barcelona officials revealing they are not keen on alternating. The Spanish port city of Valencia hosted the European Grand Prix from 2008 until 2012, but it was dropped from this year's list of venues due to financial reasons. Organisers, though, were hoping the street circuit would return in 2014 and alternate with Barcelona as host of the Spanish Grand Prix. However, the Circuit de Catalunya's director general Salvador Servia says they are not in favour of rotating and want to be a permanent fixture on the F1 calendar for many years to come.
