Di Resta hails 'spot on' tyre strategy

Force India's Paul di Resta has heaped praise on his team for its Canadian Grand Prix strategy, with the Scot completing a mammoth opening stint of 56 laps on the Medium compound tyre to rise from 17th on the grid to seventh at the finish. Di Resta, who fell at the Q1 hurdle amid gearbox troubles on Saturday afternoon, says the decision to stay out so long was "absolutely spot on" and has stated his intentions to enjoy a smooth home Grand Prix at Silverstone after two troubled weekends. "I think given what happened on Friday we had a quick car," di Resta commented. "Yesterday was another disaster. With no high fuel practice we had to get something out of the basket....
