Mercedes questions Ferrari tyre test

"true">Mercedes believes that if it is found guilty of breaking the regulations by using a 2013 chassis during its post-Spanish Grand Prix test with sole tyre supplier Pirelli, Ferrari should also face sanctions for a similar outing with a 2011 car earlier in the year. As the International Tribunal (IT) hearing in Paris continues, lawyer Paul Harris QC - representing Mercedes - argued that if the wording of the FIA Sporting Regulations is strictly adhered to, Ferrari would also be in the wrong despite using a two-year old car.
