McLaren bringing minor upgrades to Monza

Sam Michael has said that McLaren will only be bringing minor upgrades to the forthcoming Italian Grand Prix, with the squad instead earmarking Singapore as a more appropriate venue at which to implement the next big development package. The Woking-based outfit has been off the front-running pace this year, but the introduction of new parts in recent races has corresponded with a slight upturn in form for drivers Jenson Button and Sergio Pérez. Although keen to maintain momentum, with less emphasis placed on downforce levels at the high-speed Monza circuit, Michael pointed out that there was more time to be gained by focussing on a reduction in drag levels. “There will be a few upgrades...
