Caterham struggling for pace on option tyres

September 6th, 2013 (F1Plus / Chris Cameron-Dow) - Caterham will be looking for ways to extract more grip from the option tyres ahead of qualifying, after they failed to find the lap time they expected when they used the softer rubber in the afternoon FP2 session. Otherwise, the team reports that their long-run pace is reasonable and the engineers were able to gather plenty of data for use in determining tomorrow's setup changes. Heikki Kovalainen took over Giedo van der Garde's car for FP1, the second race in succession that the Finn has taken part in Friday practice, and he was tasked as usual with providing feedback to the team as they try to close the performance gap to the midfield...
