Kovalainen confident in Caterham progress

Heikki Kovalainen says he is confident that Caterham will be able to take steps forwards during the 2014 F1 season, when fresh engine regulations seem set to shake up the established order.The Leafield-based team has so far failed to take the anticipated steps forward towards the midfield, and is currently embroiled in a battle with Marussia to try and avoid finishing bottom of the championship standings this season.Although he is no longer in a race seat with the team, Kovalainen has continued to work with the Renault-powered outfit and has taken part in a number of Friday practice sessions, and the Finn said he felt there were signs of improvement heading into the new...
