Valtteri Bottas suffered a tough maiden race around the Marina Bay Street Circuit, after the former GP3 Champion was struck with clutch and front-wing issues during the 61-lap Singapore Grand Prix. The Finn eventually finished 13th, two places behind team-mate Pastor Maldonado and once again outside the points. At the start of the race Valtteri Bottas was instantly struck with clutch issues, which ultimately prevented the Finn from enjoying a competitive start in his Williams. After the opening lap of the race he found himself way down in 19th position behind the Caterham of Giedo van der Garde.
